Oceans to Earth Support Us

Our Supporters

We rely on a number of partners, local supporters and sponsors to help us with funding and business expertise. Find out how your business or organisation can help support our valuable work.

Our Sponsors

Rockfish

We owe a huge thank you to Rockfish, our Poole-based sponsors, who raised £2146 for Oceans to Earth despite the uncertainty caused by Covid 19. In each restaurant there is an optional £1 contribution added to the bill to help support local causes; since 2010 they have raised over £250,000.

Rockfish specialise in serving sustainable, fresh, local seafood in their eight restaurants located in coastal towns in Dorset and Devon. Rockfish Poole is set in the beautiful old pottery building on Poole Quay overlooking the Sunseeker yard and ferry terminal. They have their own fishing boat, Rockfisher, whose daily catch is supplemented with fresh fish selected from Brixham and other local fish markets. Find out more by visiting therockfish.co.uk

myTurn

We believe there is a huge future in borrowing and sharing, and as an organisation, it’s something we will be doing a lot more of.

As we now offer our litter picking equipment, we want to make it as easy as possible for you to borrow. MyTurn offers an incredible platform, specifically for borrowing, and sharing. This encourages a circular economy, builds social trust, and most importantly, it saves the environment!

We wanted to say a massive thank you to the team at myTurn for supporting us, and helping us to make our equipment more accessible to you.

Our Partners

Dorset Wildlife Trust

National Trust

Jurassic Watersports

We are proud to partner with Dorset Wildlife Trust, National Trust and Jurassic Watersports to support the Wild Brownsea Project’s Shore Rangers.

Shore Rangers is a free kayaking conservation group for young people aged 16 to 25.

The group travels to Brownsea by boat before kayaking around its shoreline to enjoy a range of practical marine tasks, surveys and coastal / marine workshops.

This is a great way to see what conservation is about and a stepping stone to nature-based careers – all while having fun and making a difference!

If you would like to join or support Shore Rangers, please contact jowen@dorsetwildlifetrust.org.uk

Dorset Wildlife Trust is the county’s largest conservation charity dedicated to restoring nature in Dorset.

The Wild Brownsea Project is kindly supported by Dorset Wildlife Trust Members, the National Lottery Heritage Fund, Oceans to Earth and Jurassic Watersports.

Over three years, the Wild Brownsea Project will provide new infrastructure including the Lookout Hide and Visitor Hub, upgrades to existing hides and the Villa Wildlife Centre; habitat works as well as new and extensive Engagement, Schools & Outreach Programmes.

The project places an emphasis on accessibility and inclusion so that more people can benefit from spending time in nature locally.
